No one should go hungry. These programs provide free food, emergency groceries, meals, and nutrition benefits with little to no documentation required at many locations.

Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB)
Distributed nearly 112 million meals in 2025. Find a pantry near you by ZIP code. 700+ partner locations across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

Monthly food benefits loaded to an EBT card. Apply online via Georgia Gateway. Income up to 130% of federal poverty level qualifies.

Federal program providing free food at no cost to households at or below 200% of poverty level. No documentation — self-declaration accepted. Distributed through local food pantries and soup kitchens.

Homelessness prevention, rapid rehousing, and emergency financial assistance to pay past-due rent. Also provides security deposit help. Call (404) 817-7070.

Salvation Army — Project SHARE
Partnership with Georgia Power. Provides emergency utility and rent assistance statewide. Helps 40,000+ Georgians yearly. Over $2M in aid annually.

Midtown Assistance Center (MAC)
Prevents eviction and utility disconnection for working households in central Atlanta ZIP codes (30303–30318). Also refers to partner orgs if ineligible.

BCM Georgia — Foundation 3 Program
12 months of rent and utility assistance plus case management for working families near homelessness. Must have children and be employed full-time at least 3 weeks.

Georgia Housing Search (DCA)
State tool to find affordable rentals, Section 8 vouchers (HCV), and connect with housing counselors statewide.

Atlanta Legal Aid Society
Free civil legal aid for low-income people facing eviction. Also assists with housing discrimination and tenant rights. Senior legal hotline available.
